Day 3

All the girls had a good sleep in this morning.

Mrs Rowe woke the girls at 7am! Ask the girls about the cockerel!

Today was very exciting because it was 'ZIP WIRE' day, something the girls had been looking forward to and dreading with equal measure.

We have also been problem solving and solving tests set by the instructors.

The Team Challenge was very popular, the girls had to work in teams to get round an obstacle course (see below).

Finally the ZIP WIRE!!!! Great fun to do but also shouting up words of encouragement to their friends.

Great work to all those who overcame their (very natural) fears.

Disco was another triumph with great moves shown by all.
Striking a pose

Everyone getting involved

 Looking gooooood

All to bed now. We've a 7am start, as the girls need to pack up and strip their beds before our final activities.

Day 2

Good morning

Girls up bright and early - some at 5.50!

It's been a busy day. Here's a taste of what we've been up to so far.

We have been blessed with beautiful sunshine ALL day. Girls have tested their metal with abseiling and as here on the power climbs.

Also the girls have had a go at:
 archery

Climbing

Circus skill

Fashion?

Waving
Go Karting
The camp fire was great. Lots of songs and games with the instructors, and the rain held off. We've had a brilliant day and have our fingers crossed that the sun shines on us tomorrow. Girls off to bed, and lets hope we don't see 5.50am tomorrow.

Day 1

We have arrived!

After an uneventful journey, with a lot of singing, we arrived at Kingswood on time. Rain all the way down the motorway until Kingswood, but since we've been here the sun has shone constantly. The girls all had a hearty lunch - something they had all been asking for.

Following lunch we had field games, including a massive game of rounders lead by Kingswood instructors. The girls have experienced their first slips and slides in the mud. We all ten had a show round the centre. The girls all then were shown their rooms and spent quite some time trying to get their duvets into covers - quite a challenge.

At the time of writing the girls have all had their tea and are playing outside before the final activity of the day. So more new to follow plus pictures.

The girls clowning about this afternoon

Low ropes - not as easy as it looked

Lots of great team work and working together

Less than 1 week to go

We are all looking forward to packing! It's all getting very exciting and best of all the weather forecast is good for next week.

Remember - nothing too expensive/valuable is required - disposable cameras are great.

Please do make sure everything is named - just a marker pen name is better than nothing. Do remember - even if you persuade Mums & Dads to carry your suitcase on to the coach on Wednesday, you will be carrying on your own once we arrive at Kingswood and our rooms are on the first floor - so don't pack so much that you cannot actually lift it! And certainly do not put in any food - we do not want to encourage wildlife into the dormitories!!!

One other task to perform this weekend is add this "blog address" to the favourites on the computer that your parents (and grannies/grandads/aunts/uncles etc) are likely to use while we are away - this is where they can find out all about what you have been up to.

If there are any last minute question please do not hesitate to talk to Mrs Dickson or Mr Davis.
